If you want to take your painting to another level an easel is a must

If you are a budding painter who is looking to take your craft to the next level, one of the most important things you can do is to invest in an art easel. It may not a sound as glamorous as new brushes or paints, but a good easel can last you for years and will provide a secure place for you to work on your painting.

There are several factors to consider when purchasing an easel. First consider how often you will be moving around as you work. Many art easels are collapsable and easy to move from place to place, but some of the very sturdy wooden models are large and heavy and do not collapse. If lighting is an issue where you work and you will need to move your easel to work, you will definitely want one that is mobile and light.

Relatedly, how often you will be adjusting the angles on the easel is another thing to take into consideration. Again, some easels are more mobile and adjustable than others, so if you will be shifting the angle frequently depending on how you work, you will have to look for easels that work accordingly.

Many art easels have built-in skid plates to prevent sliding around while you work. This is one feature you will definitely want to be sure your easel has. It is all too easy for a light easel without skid plates to shift in place if you lean to heavily on your brush. And as any artist knows, one misstep could mar your painting and potentially ruin all your hard work.

Lastly, you may want to consider the material of your easel. They typically are made out of wood or metal. The lower end are made out of plastic. The keys are all about stability and adjustability, so regardless of material, choosing an easel that is strong in these two categories is the most important part. The material aspect is more a stylistic issue than anything.

So get out there and find an art easel that will match your studio and needs perfectly. Your future masterpieces are waiting!

Thinking of buying new dog chain

My seven years old dog is getting stronger as he gets older.  I already bought more than ten dog chain for him because he breaks it easily.  I do not know how he did it.  We put him at the back of the house so that he could see it there is someone at the back.  The burglar almost gets in the house the night when we all went to a birthday party.  Luckily we got home when the burglar is trying to open the back door of the house.  This is the main reason we put our dog (Jasper) at the back of our house.

Jasper has been escaped many times already and it will take me more time in capturing him again.  The thing that I do not want to happened again because only I who can come near Jasper.  I do not want him captured by city pound that is why I am thinking of buying a better dog chain for Jasper.  A dog chain that is strong enough to handle Jasper’s  The kind of dog chain that won’t break easily and lasted long.  I went to different malls and still cannot find the best dog chain for my Jasper.  I will keep looking and I hope I will find the good quality for it is very difficult when Jasper escape.

Girl’s Talk: Teacher’s Pet

The topic for this month is so perfect because it is back to school here in the Philippines.  Since I am out of school, all I could do is to reminisce the time when I am still studying.  I am not a good student, just average because I am the silent type.  For this week’s topis Teacher’s Pet, I can think of only one teacher that help me develop my confidence and believing in myself.

This is Mrs. Cristina Pendor, the yearbook coordinator in college.  I am fortunate enough to be one of the yearbook staff.  For a year of being the staff, this teacher taught us many things about life, the beauty of life and believing in ourselves.  ” Do not waste food, finished what you have put on your plate because some are not eating and no foods to eat”, one of her teaching to us one day when we are having our lunch.  I always remember that line every time I am eating.  She is very strict but in a good way and in the way that would make us a better person.   Haven’t seen her for a decade now and I hope to see her again even if she doesn’t recognized me anymore.:-)
