Rashes comes out after the fever

After suffering from fever for four days, the five months old nephew now is getting better.  Thanks God he is fine now and starts to smile again.  We are so worried for few days because his fever goes up to 39.  The sister decided to bring him to his pedia, but because the pedia is not around, we opted to come back the following day.  We just continue monitoring the temperature of the nephew and have him take the medicine every four hours.  Good thing the fever is gone; we do not need to go to the pedia anymore.

We are glad that the fever has gone; however, the rashes that come out on the nephew’s body makes us worry.  I know rashes will fade in three days just like what happened to the niece months ago, but seeing the rashes all over the nephew’s body makes me sad.  I wish I knew how to cure it.  I guess we just have to wait till the rashes fade away.  The good thing is that the nephew is better now, no fever and back to being a bubbly kid.  Rashes are so itchy, so I wish it will fade away soon and leave my nephew alone.

Drawing notebook for the nephews

Doing the same things every day is boring, especially to the kids who get easily bored even though they have lots of toys in front of them.  Their curious and adventurous minds are always looking for something that is new to them.  I understand and just let them to the things that they like even if it is so messy.  It is best to just let them the things they what for them to discover new things.  Lately, they are more into looking at the books of their older sisters.  They like to look at the pictures on the books.  In fairness to them they recognize some images on the books but the problem is they know the local terms.

Learning at early stage is a good training so that when the time comes that they will be entering school, they are more ready.  Not that they like to look at the images on the books, I guess it is best for them to start drawing.  I give them pencil and paper for them to draw what they like.  Though I only see curve lines and other lines that I don’t understand, at least they know how to stroke a pen.  Last night the SIL brought a drawing notebook for the two nephews.  I am glad because they have notebooks to use instead of paper/bond paper.  Good luck to the two little boys.  Soon they will know how to draw image/s.

Loves to sing the Alphabet

After few times of patiently teaching the three years old nephew, he can now sings the alphabet alone.  Woohoo!  He is a fast learner I must say even if he is not listening attentively.  Every time I have the time to be with him, I take the chance to teach him the alphabet and the number.  I know he is just three years old and teaching him would take lots of time, efforts and patience, I did not give up.  I am just allowing him to do what he likes to do while teaching him.  He is not paying 100% attention, however, he is able to memorize the alphabet.  I am amazed because he can now sing it alone and he loves it.  Although, it is not clear yet because he is just three years old at least he knows a bit already.

I am so proud of the nephew’s improvement.  He learned really fast because his mother and two sisters are teaching him too.  We will continue teaching him but not pressuring him because he is still a kid and loves to play most of the time.  He is a playful kid, well all kids are but the nephew is the kind of kid that would do his stuffs no matter what.  You cannot forced him to do what you want him to do because at a very young age, he persistent!  I guess all the young ones of this new generation are.  Anyways, I am so happy of the nephew’s development, I can now tell that he is ready to do to school.  next stop would be teaching him to write his name on the paper.

Rush him to the pediatrician

After our short travel last Monday, the nephew got sick.  He had fever that night and vomiting.  I felt so sorry for the nephew because he looks so sick.  In a way I am blaming myself for bringing him with us.  Good thing is that he get well after a day of medication.  But the vomiting continues and this makes us so worried.  The nephew throws up after drinking his milk and he is very weak.  The nephew have to drink his milk because he is weak and he is not eating solid foods either.  We just give him small frequent feeding for him to at least gain some strength.

Just this morning, the nephew vomits twice and so weak.  I was carrying him when I noticed some rashes on his face, arms, back, chest, head and legs.  I am so worried so I called the sister who is at work and informing her about his son.  We rush him to the pediatrician because we are so worried about the dengue fever.  Though we are praying that it is far from dengue fever.  After the check up, we felt relieve after the pediatrician told us about the rashes.  The rashes caused by air allergies because it is s a bit windy when we travel last Monday.  And the vomiting was caused by eating too much oily foods.  Thanks God it is not really that serious.

Let’s go swimming

Because I am not sleepy yet, I am looking at the photos I have uploaded in my laptop.  This is what I usually do especially if I am bored and do not know what to do.  Looking at old photos makes me smile especially seeing those photos that has a funny memories.  The first file I open is that photos of my nephew Ronj.  He was really a cute kid.  Not being bias here, just agree with me so that no more argument.  Okay?  While I view his photos, I saw this very cute stolen shot of Ronj.  See the image below.

This photo taken during our one week vacation at the province of my parents.  I call this photo a “let’s go swimming photo”.  And obviously you know the reason, right?  He is very much excited to go to the beach as you can see.  Too much excitement that he didn’t notice that he was wearing my slippers.  Or I guess he loves to wear my slippers.  I remember when I was younger I love to wear bigger slippers.

Can you tell what is the meaning of his look in the photo?  Is he bored? Confused? Sad?  Make a guess.
